The DJJ is providing the funding for this effort and is one of the primary data sources for the Juvenile Data Exchange Repository. Their Juvenile Tracking System (JTS) Application currently supports 134 Dependent Courts in Georgia and they played a major role in defining the Data Dictionary used for this project.
The CJCJ has supported this project with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and led the creation of the Data Dictionary.
The role of the JC / AOC is to provide Project Management Services and oversight to this effort. The IT Division at the JC / AOC has been tasked with ensuring the project stays on track, meets stated requirements and conforms to national standards for data requirements (NIEM).
Canyon is the first private vendor to participate in this project and assisted with the creation of the Data Dictionary. Their Justice Case Activity Tracking System (JCATS) supports 32 Juvenile Courts in Georgia.
Other vendors will be included in future phases.
